When you’re in the early days of dating someone, it’s highly likely that you don’t know much about your partner yet. That’s alright. You’ll have plenty of time to know each other. However, the dilemma is when their birthday comes during this early stage. It’s pretty hard to think of a present. And you don’t want to screw it up. This is just like Michael’s problem in this beautiful story of life.
Michael has been dating Ava for two weeks now. Even so, he was surprised to know that her birthday will be tomorrow. The reason being is probably because they were busy bonding, telling life stories, falling in love, etc. But he wasn’t able to grab more personal information from her. For instance– her birthday. Apparently, that happens. Not to mention that Michael is a Social Media Ghost– someone who doesn’t or not into social media.
“Oh boy, it’s her birthday!” Michael said as soon as he receives the invitation from Ava through text. He thought of fancy things and even searched the internet for hours for the right gift– but to no avail. There were many ideas that he could have settle into but Ava was really special to him. He wants something that can be meaningful, memorable, unique, and symbolizes his feelings for her.
Michael asked his friends for ideas. But he was given just the usual: jewelry, roses, sweets, books, etc. Then when he’s about to go out and see what’s on nearby shops– he saw his neighbors taking care of their plants.
Mr. and Mrs. Evans have been really kind to him ever since he moved next door. He figured that the old couple may have a piece of advice for his dilemma. They were lovers for a long time after all. Michael did not hesitate to ask and the couple gave their suggestion.
The old couple told Michael that it should be an orchid. They said orchids are uniquely beautiful, very easy to take care of– even for first-timers–, it’s long-lasting, allergy-free, lifts up the mood and enhances the message you want to give. Also, not many women receive beautiful orchids every day. It sends the right message that she is indeed special. Not to mention, that it was the old couple’s symbol of love. Michael was moved by Mr. and Mrs. Evan’s suggestion and he decided to go for orchids. The old couple even directed him on where to easily get such a magnificent gift. It’s none other than at Floral Bottega.
The next day, Michael went to Ava’s birthday and he presented the “Autumn Birthdays” orchid arrangement by Floral Bottega. He told her that the blooming in brilliant red Vanda Orchids symbolized his love, and its unique and stunning appearance showed how special she is. Ava loved his gift. He was given a smile with blushy cheeks and a sweet kiss.
